Spinner Nathan Hauritz, whose place in the Australian Test team is in doubt, has said that he is a better bowler than Tasmanian Xavier Doherty, who has also been included in an expanded 17-man Ashes squad.
Australian left-arm spinner Xavier Doherty will replace the injured Nathan Hauritz in the squad for the next two One-Day Internationals against England, Cricket Australia said on Saturday.
Xavier Doherty will be called into Australia's squad for the third One-Day match against South Africa in Canberra, the spinner told reporters on Sunday.
They are determined to recapture the number one spot in the ICC ODI rankings but Australia skipper George Bailey said it would be "silly" to assume that the visitors would be able to thrash India by the requisite 6-1 margin in the seven-match series starting in Pune.
